Aid for the Ailes

Donation protected
Mindy Ailes is a 38 year old mother and wife, who is currently fighting for her life. What started as a bad case of bronchitis on Christmas Eve, has quickly turned into the scariest times of her family's lives. Mindy was admitted to Evangelical, diagnosed with the flu on top of bronchitis, on Christmas Day, missing the day with her 7 year old son and her husband. On December 27, Mindy was lifeflighted and admitted to Geisingers Cardiac ICU. Once there, they found out she also has pneumonia. Her lung x-rays were a solid white with all the pneumonia. She is currently on life support so she can breathe, rest, and heal. Over the next few days, they will attempt to drop life support meds in Hope's that her body will take over and start working on it's own. Steve, Mindy's husband, is told this is a long process. He says "This is the scariest thing of my life. They said she has a 20 to 30% chance of NOT making it through. Never thought about raising my son alone. This kills me."  Mindy has been a stay-at-home mom while recovering from a work related injury, leaving Steve as the only income for their household. Since Mindy's hospitalization, Steve has been at Mindy's bedside as long as the hospital allows. Most days he spends over 12 hours by her side. His job does not provide paid vacation or sick days. While insurance will pay for the medical bills, the Ailes family is left with zero income to pay rent, utilities, and groceries. Steve has relied heavily on family to help with their son so he can be with his wife. He is a man of pride who will never ask for help.  To make matters worse, a week before Mindy became sick, Steve totalled their family vehicle when he hit a patch of ice. He's currently using a rental vehicle to travel to Danville daily, which insurance will soon stop paying for. Pray for Mindy. Pray for Steve. Pray for their son. Donate anything you can. Even $5 helps with gas to the hospital. These are the kind of people who always show up. To move the heavy furniture, to jump start your vehicle in 9 degree weather, to pick you up when you need a lift. Thank you so much for taking the time to read this and thank you in advance for your prayers and donations.
