Micheal Manuri's life changed drastically in a matter of seconds last night. A normal night at the movies, Michael suddenly began to feel unwell, and as he tried to leave to get some water, he fell on the floor. The fall was hard, Michael broke both his lower and upper jaw, and three teeth were knocked out from impact.

Within hours he will be undergoing major oral surgery. His jaw will be wired shut for 1–2 weeks, and the recovery will be long and painful.

My brother-in-law Michael and my sister Marcy are the loving parents of 8-month-old baby Sophia. After this sudden medical emergency, Michael won’t be able to work for at least a month, leaving their young family in a very tough financial position. On top of the medical bills, they’re now facing the cost of child care, household expenses, and time off for Marcy to help care for both her husband and their baby.

We’re starting this fundraiser to help relieve some of the financial pressure while Michael focuses on healing and Marcy holds everything together at home. Every dollar raised will go toward medical expenses, child care, and essential living costs during this difficult time.
