Aid for Massive Flood Victims
Donation protected
PAACET Calgary wants to help our Africa Regional Director in Freetown to address the catastrophy from flooding. Sierra Leone, one of the world's poorest countries, has suffered another major disaster, a massive flood and mudslide that buried whole towns and has killed at least 1,000 people so far. "Addressing the media on Tuesday, president Ernest Bai Koroma warned the devastation “was overwhelming us”. “Entire communities have been wiped out,” Koroma said. “We need urgent support now.”
PAACET's Africa Regional Director, who also lost extended family members, is using his own funds to help provide assistance in the form of food to feed those left homeless, blankets and other emergency supplies.
Please help by donating whatever you can. Full disclosure: unfortunately PAACET is NOT a charitable organization yet, but please be assured that ALL money collected will go directly to our Africa Regional Director via Western Union Transfer. We can provide documentation showing transfer receipts.
Please help now! Thanks for your support! Read more here. https://www.theguardian.com/global-development/2017/aug/16/sierra-leone-mudslide-national-mourning#img-1
