Aid for Libon Albay

News about the devastating Super Typhoon Rolly that caused unimaginable and heart wrenching effects has been all over both local and international news these past few days. The Bicol Region is in a really bad shape right now. Before Super Typhoon Rolly, Typhoon Quinta already caused severe damages especially in agriculture. Libon is the rice granary of Albay and being a town where agriculture is a major source of livelihood, calamities like typhoons is one of every farmer’s biggest nightmares.

Like other towns and cities in Albay, Libon is greatly affected by the aftermath of the typhoon. On a lighter note, my hometown has no recorded casualties. However, my kababayans, my fellow Libongueños, really need help in starting over. Houses and schools were stripped because of the strong winds and along with the furious flood went most of their belongings. Farmers and fishermen have completely lost their livelihood.

Any form of help, in cash and/or in kind, will be greatly appreciated and will definitely be used to purchase the basic needs of my fellow Libongueños.

Thank you very much! Dios po ang magbalos sa karayan niyan sainyong mga puso.
