Help Eva Recover After Life-Saving Surgery

Hi everyone,

My name is Mark and I’m starting this fundraiser on behalf of my friend Eva, a strong and loving single mother of three—and someone I’m proud to call not just a friend, but family, as the godfather of one of her children.

A few weeks ago, Eva underwent a life-saving surgery that required the removal of part of her lower leg due to a fast-moving infection that antibiotics could no longer control.

It was a decision made to save her life—but it has changed everything.

Today marks 7 days after her surgery, and she has now been in the hospital for almost 4 weeks.

Recovery has been harder than expected:

- She has not been able to get out of bed yet

- She’s had some complications and setbacks, delaying her move to rehab

- The prolonged hospital stay has become very stressful—emotionally, physically, and financially

She now faces the long road ahead: healing her wound, gaining strength, eventually starting rehabilitation, and in time, receiving a prosthetic so she can regain her independence and care for her children.

Her sister, Emily , has been carrying the weight of supporting their family from the U.S. for years.

Emily has always been the kind of person who quietly gives and never asks for help. But now, this family truly needs us.
