Hi, my name is Nanette Wycoco, and I’m reaching out on behalf of my best friend, Cristina Casteel, and her family.

On May 23, Cristina’s mom, Dory Domingue Acosta, suffered a severe stroke during a layover in Japan while she was on her way back to the U.S. from the Philippines. She was rushed to the hospital and is currently in the ICU, fighting for her life.

This has been a heartbreaking and overwhelming time for Cristina and her family. Nanay Dory’s health insurance is U.S.-based, and because she is receiving emergency care overseas, all of the hospital costs are not covered. The bills are already piling up and continue to grow every day.

On behalf of Cristina and her family, I’m humbly asking for your help. Any amount you can give will go directly toward nanay Dory’s medical care, ICU treatment, and other urgent needs as they fight to get her stabilized and eventually home.
