<div>Our sweet dog Daisy is 14 years old, a feisty Sagittarius, and a tough little fighter.

<div>In January, she was diagnosed with a rare nasal tumor. She underwent radiation therapy in February—an expensive but necessary treatment that deeply impacted my mom financially. She went through multiple aggressive treatments to give her 1-2 years of more life. Daisy lost all the hair around her nose during radiation, but it had just started to grow back. We were so thrilled to see her finally getting better after everything she had been through.

<div>Then, on May 8, Daisy suddenly began choking on her food. We rushed her to the vet, performing the Heimlich on the way—it was a traumatizing experience to say the least. No food was found in her throat, but she was struggling to breathe. She was given oxygen and sedatives and then transferred to an emergency hospital for further care.

<div>Daisy is currently staying overnight at the hospital as the vets continue to monitor her and conduct all the procedures necessary for her care. We’re hoping to bring her home soon.

<div>The cost of Daisy’s treatments and emergency care has now exceeded $20,000. As a single mother, my mom has taken on this debt alone. She would never ask anyone for help, which is why I’m doing this for her. I recently lost my job and can’t contribute the way I wish I could—but I want to do everything possible to lift some of this burden off her shoulders.
