<div>It has been a really trying last two weeks for our household. Last week (April 8th) our 12 year old golden retriever, Cecilia, finally decided to eat a toy and then threw it back up but not before messing up her whole GI tract and required hospitalization. That emergency hospital stay was just under <strong>$5,000</strong>. This week (April 15th and April 18th), our 9 year old wheaten terrier, Max, had to be hospitalized due to his kidney levels (stage three kidney disease) being super high and his red blood cell count being severally anemic. The combine total for those two visits and currently a three night hospitalization is just over <strong>$12,000</strong>. We currently have three credit cards almost at max due to these visits and so we are asking for help.

<div>While Cecilia is home and back to her old self, we are currently still waiting for Max to be able to come home but in order for him to come home his kidney levels need to get back to what they were before. These dogs are our lives. We love them so intensely and are absolute messes over this happening. Max is such a sweet, energic little man that just absolutely loves to be snuggled and held. He is our little pad of butter that just melts in when we lay with him.  He is quirky. Throws his head back to make sure that his bark is heard throughout the neighborhood and hates anything on wheels that isn't a car - which cars are not even safe if it is raining. He is just a weird little guy that still has so much love to give our family.

<div>We have been trying to stay as strong and not ask for help as long as we could but knowing that there is a possibility that we will have more expensive vet visits in our near future to try and get a handle on Max's kidney disease, here we are. We need help. We also understand that the climate of the world is uncertain and everyone is struggling. We appreciate you even just taking the time to read this.
