<div>On August 11th, 2025, after dropping my son off at daycare, I drove up to what looked like a fight. I was wrong. It was an attempted murder. The assailant was stabbing the victim in the head. There was blood everywhere and the poor victim was trying to defend himself while crying and screaming for help. I threatened to call the police and began dialing 911, hoping the assailant would run away. For a moment, he stopped, looked at me, and yelled for me to leave. The next moment, he turned to stab the victim in the face. Without completely thinking through the possible consequences, I jumped from my car, leaving the door open, car running, and dropped my phone. As the assailant lay on top of the victim, I ran up and grabbed his arm, which was holding two knives. I grabbed his fist and began trying to yank the knives from his hand. The assailant began to stand as he and I fought for control of the knives. We then fought for a few moments, wrestling while standing. I knew my life was in danger and I had to get away before I was the next victim. So, in one fast movement, I twisted the knives away from his palm and ran. After I took the knives, the assailant looked around, jumped in my car, and drove off. The police found him shortly after.
