Aid for Babe Abe

Donation protected
Abrahm Joeseph (Babe Abe) was born November 13th, 2015 to his incredible parents, Chris and Kristina Peace. What was supposed to be one of the most amazing days of their lives soon turned into one of the most difficult.

Without any warning during Kristina's pre-natal care, they were shocked and deeply saddened to hear that Abe was struggling once born. They soon learned he has Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome (HLHS). This means Abe's left ventricle never developed which puts a dramatic strain on his entire body.

Abe has already undergone two open-heart surgeries during his short life and is now facing his next one then first week of April.

There is absolutely no telling how long the recovery will take; each case is completely unique. Some kids recover from the same surgery for days, others for weeks.

Regardless, the experience will put a strain on the entire Peace family--emotionally, physically, and financially.

I am blessed to have Kristina as my best friend and be auntie to Abe and his big brother, Sam. Our families met through the heart world. My daughter, Sylvia, was born a month after Abe. Sylvia did not survive her last surgery and now waits for us in heaven.

After her left ventricle did not recover from her surgery, she was waiting for a heart transplant for months so I lived full time in the hospital and also had an older child back home. I have been in their shoes and there are no adequate words to describe how truly devastating it is on a family.

Most people would be shocked to know how expensive it is to live out of a hospital while attempting to maintain a life at home. The gas it will require to travel 90 minutes from their home to the hospital on days they go from place to place, the maintainence of home utilities, and the high cost of food all place additional stress on an already-stressful situation.

I want to try and take away some of the financial burden from Chris and Kristina so they can concentrate on what matters--the care of their boys.

Anything you can give will help and, on behalf of the Peace family, thank you SO much for your contribution. Above all, we ask for prayers for Abe's surgery and recovery, for his surgeon, nurses, doctors, and all who will care for his medical needs, and everyone who loves him.

I will also be starting a meal train once the surgery is over and we can better assess their meal needs.

God bless you and yours. Thank you for your consideration. May Abe's life continue to show the love and dedication of His Savior.

I lift up my eyes to the mountains—
where does my help come from?
My help comes from the Lord,
the Maker of heaven and earth.

Yes, my soul, find rest in God; my hope comes from him. Psalm 62:5

So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
Isaiah 41:10

I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world!
John 16:33

The LORD is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. Psalm 34:18

But we are citizens of heaven, where the Lord Jesus Christ lives. And we are eagerly waiting for him to return as our Savior.
Philippians 3:20

A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for a time of adversity.
Proverbs 17:17

Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.
