Aid for Amanda

Tuesday, July 25, 2017 was just a normal day for Amanda Jaczkowski. She was riding her bike to work when she was struck by a gravel truck. She was rushed to the hospital in serious condition with a laundry list of injuries. She is requiring a multitude of surgeries and her hospital stay will be long. Due to this lengthy stay and the nature of her injuries--particularly her leg which is in very bad condition--the doctors are estimating that she will be out of work for three months. 

Anyone who knows Mandi can attest to her love of life and passion for helping others. She leads chants for the Detroit City Football Club every match day, standing high on her capo stand with smoke bombs lighting up the pitch behind her. She gives back to the community constantly by helping to revitalize Detroit, assisting the homeless, and helping refugees get acclimated to the new country. You can never keep Mandi off of her feet--between swing dancing, polkaing, and playing soccer, she is always moving and full of the kind of energy that inspires others to join in. That being said, the injuries and recovery time that Amanda is facing are going to be particularly hard on her and when coupled with the medical bills and time off of work, she needs both emotional and financial support at this time. Mandi has spent so much time giving back to the community and spreading love to those around her, it is the least we can do to rally behind her in her recovery, just like we would at a soccer match. Above all, Amanda appreciates the prayers and good wishes. She thanks everyone for their donations and will pay it forward Amanda-style.
