She had been separated for a year from her husband and was told to pick up their baby girl from his home. He then shot at her 14 times, 5 of those struck her in the abdomen. She also suffered a broken leg trying to get away from him.

She still has many more surgeries and therapies to undergo and is in desperate need of financial help to pay medical bills and care for her 2 children.
