Aid Eric and Tess in Their Time of Need

Hello, my name is Tess. Eric Adams is my husband. I have seen and watched my husband do things and work extremely hard for our family. We've always overcome every obstacle in our way. Our family helps one another through any challenges faced. We have come together and worked through the hard times. Our son has even put a hold on his college to try and help

us out.

We are currently facing one of those strenuous, stressful, don't-know-what-to-do challenges. As you may know, my husband recently has had 2 surgeries. One was in January, and we hoped that it would take care of his pain and fix his ability to walk distances. Unfortunately, that surgery didn't take. He was rushed to the ER at ARH and then rushed to the ER at UK. He sat, waiting for 2 days to be able to get surgery. Once they finally got him in, they did a procedure called a T-Lift. He now has 2 rods, 4 screws, and a spacer on the L4, L5 vertebrae.

These surgeries have put us down. We have been struggling since August to maintain our daily life. It's been extremely difficult to maintain monthly expenses. Eric isn't able to work and will not be able to for a while due to the severity of the procedure. I am unable to work due to my health issues and because I am his caretaker.

We don't hardly ever ask for any help or handouts. It's very embarrassing for us when we do. But I also know that people need help from time to time, and it's nothing to be ashamed of or embarrassed about. Regardless of all the challenges we face, we strive to overcome them.
