My name is Deanna Norton. I live with my 2 emotional support birds, Jazzy, my 24-year-old Umbrella Cockatoo, and Azrael, my rescue Blue & Gold Macaw who is 44 and I've had for 18 years.

On February 3rd, 2026, I was walking into a job interview and tripped and fell, breaking my right knee in 3 places, my right tibia and fibula, and crushed my right ankle. I had emergency surgery and then was put in a rehab facility for 9 weeks learning to balance on 1 leg. I will have to have a full knee replacement once my leg and ankle heal, which is several months out.

I've had no way to earn the $600 I'm short each month and I don't know what else to do. I've contacted all friends and family and no one can help me. I'm looking to raise $5000, which will cover my shortage for 8 months, giving me time to recover.

If my ex-husband would pay me the court-ordered alimony, he now owes over $400,000.00 including interest, I wouldn't have to beg for help!
