Hello, my name is Valeria I have created this gofundme for my sister Daniela.

On Thursday, March 27, a big storm caused flash floods in Reynosa, the city she lives in. Water reached close to 6 ft inside her house and she lost everything; clothes, appliances, food, important documents, and more. Within 4 minutes, the water had covered her up to her knees and all she could do was grab our mother's ashes and her 3 cats and run out of the house in search of higher ground.

She walked for miles with water covering almost up to her waist, with 3 cats in a small box to the nearest shelter, but they wouldn't let her stay with the cats so she had to leave. A good person saw her in the rain and helped her reach out to someone who was helping people leave the affected areas. After hours of wandering the streets, she was able to reach my brother's house where she was able to shelter with her cats.

She is in need of clothing, shoes, money for food, and to replace her identification documents. I really appreciate you taking the time to read her story and any donation you're able to give.
