Aid Cristin's Journey: Surgery and Recovery

My name is Jonathan Coggeshall, and I’m creating this fundraiser to support my fiancée, Cristin Buentello. Many of you who know Cristin are aware of her ongoing battle with polycythemia vera, a rare blood disorder that has led to blood clots and heart attacks. Unfortunately, her most recent heart attack has been the most severe yet, requiring a double bypass surgery.

While the surgery was successful, Cristin has faced serious complications during her recovery. Her chest and lungs filled with blood, leading to blood clots that collapsed one of her lungs. She had to undergo an additional surgery to remove the clots. The incredible medical team has already replaced two of her arteries and addressed another damaged one to prevent further clotting.

Due to these complications, Cristin will need to remain in the hospital for an extended period, and be out of work for several months. This has placed a heavy financial burden on her, with mounting medical bills and the challenge of covering her rent and utilities while she recovers.
