Hi, my name is Pamela. I am trying to raise money for my stepdaughter, Caroline Marie. She is a teaching assistant for special needs children. She has dedicated her life and career to tending to these special angels.

In December, she started not feeling right and went to the doctor, who informed her that at her young age, she needed surgery to remove an organ. She had the surgery on January 28, 2025, and had her follow-up appointment with her doctor today. Sadly, her doctor informed her that biopsies taken during her surgery have come back positive for cancer, and she was referred to an oncologist.

She is a very sweet and caring person but tends to be a loner. She is not married and has no family other than us and her mom. Her mom is very frail and lives on just social security. Her dad and I have offered for her to come and live with us while she undergoes further testing, chemo, radiation, etc. She lives in Miami, not far from her mom. We live up in the Orlando area. She doesn't want to leave her mom all alone in Miami as she is frail and elderly.

My stepdaughter lives in a studio apartment all by herself. Rents in Miami are ridiculously high, and she has normal everyday bills like the rest of us. Nothing extravagant. Up until now, she has been able to make it on her own because she worked at the school and worked at the after-school program. Now, because she is all alone, she can't pay her bills, can't work, plus dealing with a cancer diagnosis. Her dad is 86, and I am in my 70s on a fixed income also, but we get along okay, just don't have enough to pay our bills plus her bills.
