<div>At about 4:53 pm on Friday 19th Alex Baker wrecked his bike in the construction on 421. The uneven pavement was higher than normal, he miss calculated the merge and the bike went into a death wabble. He was lucky he had his full-face DOT .This small action saved his life!!! He tried to recover the bike but lost it. He is now in UNC Chapel Hill with broken ribs and both his wrist are broken.

<div>Last night he had air pockets in his chest, but it looks like they have cleared up on their own. He has tons of road rash which is expected.

<div>Talked to Jamie a bit ago, this morning Alex almost had a stroke, they called in the crash team on him because his blood pressure spiked to 230 over whatever it was. They got it back down and he’s “ok” now. They have him in for a MRI checking his lower back, thinking something near his L1 may have caused the spike.
