I am a student at KU, and a mother to a wonderful baby boy. Unfortunately, at 2:45am on February 5th, 2025, we awoke to sirens and smoke. A fire in an adjoining apartment at my building spread to my unit and ravaged our home. The flames destroyed all of our belongings and left me and my baby without a place to live.
