Hello! I am a Salem State University graduate student working on completing my second master's degree in history. I am also a history teacher in the greater Boston area.

Going on this trip would mean a lot to me both professionally and personally. Professionally, this trip would provide invaluable first-hand experience that I can take and apply to my teaching career, creating more comprehensive lessons for my students. This topic has always had great importance to me personally, especially after being stationed at Fort Campbell, KY, and living 45 minutes from Nashville, a destination on the trip.

Normally, I wouldn't ask anyone to donate on my behalf; however, as a new homeowner, my finances are pretty set in stone, and I don't have enough wiggle room to fund this trip out of pocket. I tried reaching out to the VA (Veterans Affairs) to see if they'd cover it, but I was denied. Anything helps and thank you for your time reading this!!
