My Parents Need Your Help - Here's Why

Since last year, my mother and stepdad have been running a small Kurdo-Turkish food stall at local markets around Townsville. Many of you might have seen them at the Cotters Markets, North Shore Markets and local festivals. My mum and stepdad are two of the sweetest people I've ever known, and I know everyone who's ever had the pleasure of running into them feels the same.

Lately, my folks had been struggling with bills, but sales from their market stalls were helping them pay debts and get back on track. That was until this happened:




Thieves broke into my parents' house last week, stealing the van that held all of their supplies for the markets - their barbecue, their tent, their signage, even the pots and pans. The thieves stripped the van for parts then torched it. Insurance might cover the cost of the van, but everything in it has been lost, and with it, my parents' primary method of repaying their loans and getting back into financial shape.

My mum would never, ever ask anyone to help her out, so I'm doing it for her. Replacing the equipment they require to run their stall will cost an estimated $5000. If you can donate even a few dollars, it would mean so, so much to my family.
