Team Dylan

This is Dylan. He was diagnosed at birth with Phelan McDermid Syndrome. This rare syndrome only affects approximately less than 1300 people in the entire world.

Dylan's family is trying to raise money to attend a conference for this syndrome that only happens every 2 years. The conference is held in Florida in July and is for families affected by this syndrome as well as researchers, doctors, therapist. "At the conference we will be able to provide information as well as learn more about his syndrome so we can help him with his everyday living, as well as be able to help him make his life more comfortable and manageable. 

Dylan is moderately affected. He has problems regulating his body temperature, has a low immune system, lymphedema, poor fine and gross motor skills, and cannot speak. He currently uses some sign language to communicate.
