Max's Fund
Donation protected
Last fall we received a German Shepherd names Max. We have decided he needs a professional dog trainer and we have found a reputable trainer for dogs like Max. We have seen Max's loving side but we have also seen his scared side where he can show aggression. We are starting a GoFundMe page to help with his needs. We will let Max tell you about himself.
Hi, my name is Max. I'm a 7 year old German Shepherd. My owner suddenly passed away last fall. I found myself alone without him and very confused. Then I was brought to the shelter. I was very bonded with my owner and have a hard time trusting people. I have made friends with a couple of the volunteers who took the time to connect and show me that I can trust them. I have started making friends with other volunteers, but it took some time because my broken heart is still healing from losing my best friend. Once I know I can trust you, you have my friendship and loyalty from that point on. I no longer cry at the shelter, and look forward to seeing the volunteers that take care of me daily. I am stressed to be there all alone though.
I can be very unsure of new people, so it has made it hard for the shelter to find me a home. They have told me they have found a professional trainer that works with dogs like me. I will need to stay with her for 3 weeks so she can teach me confidence and make me adoptable. I am hoping this all works as I long to find a new best friend.
I will also need a foster care home or permanent home right away after training, as they said if i go back to the shelter I may regress. I will need to go to a home where someone is willing to continue my training and understand I need firm guidance and direction. If you can help in any of these areas, please donate or contact Noelle @[email redacted] or Kim @ [email redacted].
