I am sitting here not knowing quite where to start, how do you ask your friends/ family for money. We also need your support, prayers and love to help us reach those that need us the most.
On Feb 2nd 2018, we are leaving the comfort of our New Era Reformed church family. We are heading as a group of 8 to the Clinica Evangelica Morava Ahuas. The Clinic is situated in the outback of Hounduras. The clinic benefits the community as a base of caring and and love. They strive to meet the needs of the locals through healthcare resources, Infant feeding programs and through the love of God.
Our mission will be to support those currently at the Clinic, the doctors and nurses who work tirlessly everyday to meet the needs of anyone who passes their doorstep.
This is a rural community, with simple needs. Food, shelter, healtcare, education, the demonstration of Gods love for them.
We are fundraising to meet our financial obligation of getting there. We need to raise $1500 per adult.
Our team are:
Lauire who is a nurse who understands the medical needs of the community, and how vital any additional resources we bring are, bandages, vitamins etc
Susan who has a passion for building and and construction. Her gift is to bring the light of Christ into the lives of those who think they have been forgotten.
Bear, Barry, Susans husband. Another talented construction worker who demonstrates his love for all through acts of service.
Mary A retired teacher who devotes her free time to enableing others to achieve and surpass their goals. Mary's brother Rick works as a volunteer at the clinic.
Ed A local Hart guy who wishes to contribute his knowledge of fabrication and construction. We all need a roof over our head.
Barry My husband, a good man, a kind man. Barry has such a heart for serving others. His skills in construction will be one of his many assets.
Emily who has a beautiful soul, quiet, demure. Emily will spread the love of christ to all who meet her. Emilys love for others is being felt already within our group as we plan and pray for our trip.
Me MaryRose My passion and gift from God, is the mission to feed people. It boggles my mind that if we dont go here with some food, people might die. I was shocked when I was told this. I feel compelled to use the skills God and my parents gave me to prevent this.
