Absolute Miracle Christopher's Road to Recovery

Nearly two years ago, on April 17, 2021, Christopher was a victim of a senseless and violent crime when he was shot 8 times. In addition to losing his spleen, colon, and part of his stomach, his left arm was shattered and put back together with steel plates and screws. A steel pin with screws was also inserted in the tibia of his left leg. In all, it took 17 surgeries to try and fix the damage caused by the shooting.

After wearing an ileostomy bag for more than a year, his life was returned to some form of normalcy when the ileostomy was reversed. Unfortunately, he still suffers from severe neuropathy due to nerve damage in his left arm.

On March 31st, 2023, the unthinkable happened. Whilst riding his motorcycle on the overpass over Highway 288 in Houston, a freak accident happened when his motorcycle made contact with the safety barrier. His body was catapulted over the concrete barrier, but unfortunately, his right leg was caught in the barrier and was severed about 4 inches below the knee. He commenced to fall a further 40 – 50 feet and landed on the roof of a Police Officers car traveling on 288. Landing/falling on the Police officers car actually saved his life because the roof caved in from the impact, thus softening the full force of the fall.

After arriving at the emergency room, more of his right leg was removed. It took multiple surgeries to remove dead tissue and badly severed muscles from the injured leg. The remainder of his right leg was finally amputated just below the knee cap.

Christopher is a marine veteran, a loving father, a loyal man, and an amazing friend. He is a strong man and has had to overcome many life-threatening obstacles in the past two years. Chris will have to re-adjust his life once again. He will have to learn how to walk with a prosthesis and endure multiple knee flap revisions and physical therapy, all whilst still dealing with prior injuries from being shot.

Medical expenses once again will become overwhelming.
