Giving a Gazan family some much needed relief

Hi, my name is Adil Gondal (UK citizen living in Birmingham England) and I'm trying to raise some funds for a Palestinian friend of mine Ahmed Adas and his family who live in Gaza. The money will go to rebuild his home and allow them to survive the current plight. I'll let him tell his own story. He has given an update of his situation on the 07/08/24

I, Ahmed, a 27-year-old engineer reside in Gaza City with my parents, my younger brother, and my three sisters along with their children. I love life and I love my city, Gaza. Prior to the war I volunteered for community initiatives; cleaning our parks and seashore, how beautiful was our life, now our city lies in total ruin, torn apart by war.

Half of my family sought refuge in the supposedly safer south, only to find themselves living in squalor, deprived of basic necessities like clean water and sanitation.

there are no sewage systems or clean water, and they have to suffer from the inevitable consequences of the accumulation of waste: unpleasant odors, harmful insects, and virulent diseases. Separated by conflict, we yearn for the days when we would gather daily as one family around the dinner table.

I was unable to move to the south, so i , my father and brother remained in the besieged Gaza.

The situation is catastrophic in Gaza. People are dying due to lack of food. “They are dying of hunger!!” The food available here is very little and the prices are very high.

Our life has become like hell, We have been suffering from the ravages of war in Gaza since October 7. We are still experiencing continuous displacement from one area to another, My Sick parents are living in a difficult condition in tents, My father has contracted an intestinal disease, spread by the unsanitary conditions in the camp, with waste, harmful insects, and foul odors everywhere. He spends most of his days in bed, trying to escape the pain.

Our lives have become very difficult and unbearable. my family have been displaced for 7 months is tent, without home, our home is destroyed and are struggling with a severe shortage of medicine, food, and water. Additionally, we are suffering from numerous skin diseases due to the harsh living conditions. We desperately need your help to provide us with a safe place to stay, clean food and water, medicine, and clean bedding.

As the days go by, I continue to dream of peace and stability.I dream of the day when my family is back together, the war is over and we live in peace and safety without fear., when we can return to our home and rebuild it. Until that day comes, I hold on to hope and the belief that brighter days are ahead.
