WHO ARE WE?
A Hand to Venezuela is a non-profit initiative that was created by a group of Venezuelan graduate students in Boston, Massachusetts, who decided to take actions towards helping the humanitarian crisis in Venezuela.
We aim to help alleviate the consequences of this crisis by raising funds to buy food and other basic need products for the communities in Venezuela that need them the most.
WITH JUST A $1 DONATION, WE CAN PREPARE ONE OF THESE MEALS
OUR TEAM
The Boston team is in charge of the fundraising aspect of this campaign. They are in charge of every fundraising event we organize, as well as the withdrawal of the funds in Go Fund Me and their transfer to our team in Margarita Island, Venezuela. The funds will be withdrawn to the bank account of one of our lead members in the Boston team and will be submitted to Venezuela this way.
Our team in Margarita Island, Venezuela receives and uses the funds entirely for the purchase of food ingredeints for these meals. As you can see in our video, these volunteers are also the ones who prepare and deliver each meal.
HOW ARE THE FUNDS SPENT?
We believe on complete transparency with our donors! To ensure this transparency on the handling of the funds, continuous updates are posted in our Facebook page so that our donors know exactly how the funds are being spent (how many meals are made in each round of delivery, how much is each meal costing us to make, how many people are we serving on each round of delivery, etc). All the deliveries will be documented and posted as well!

You might be wondering... What is happening in Venezuela?
Venezuela is currently undergoing a severe humanitarian crisis. The government’s mismanagement for the last 18 years has led the country to a state of emergency that has affected every field of this nation, including education, food industry, medicine availability, public services, and personal security, among many others.
The rates of inflation have surpassed 800% (highest of the world), making it impossible for citizens to access basic services and products.
It is nearly impossible for Venezuelans to provide for their families; as a consequence, more than half of the children in Venezuela are severely malnourished. The venezuelan people need URGENT help.
WHAT ELSE CAN I DO TO HELP "A HAND TO VENEZUELA"?
We encourage everyone to share what is going on in Venezuela and raise awareness about the humanitarian crisis we are facing.

A Hand to Venezuela: ¿QUIÉNES SOMOS?
A Hand to Venezuela es una iniciativa sin fines de lucro, creada por estudiantes de post-grado venezolanos viviendo en Boston que decidieron tomar acciones para combatir la crisis humanitaria en Venezuela.
Buscamos aliviar las consecuencias de la crisis humanitaria recaudando fondos para la compra de alimentos y productos de primera necesidad para las comunidades en Venezuela que más lo necesitan. Los fondos son usados exclusivamente para la compra de ingredientes para la preparación de estas comidas.
Nuestro equipo en Boston se encarga de el aspecto de recaudación de fondos y de transferir los mismos a Venezuela.
Nuestro equipo de voluntarios de A Hand to Venezuela en la Isla de Margarita se encargan de preparar y además de entregar las comidas DIRECTAMENTE a las familias que las necesitan, asegurando así que las donaciones sean recibidas por los más necesitados.
La entrega de los insumos es documentada y posteriormente publicada en nuestras redes sociales.
¿Qué está pasando en Venezuela?
Venezuela se encuentra viviendo una severa crisis humanitaria. Venezuela se encuentra en un estado de emergecia que ha afectado a todos los ámbitos del país, incluyendo la educación, sector alimentario, disponibilidad de medicamentos, servicios públicos, y seguridad personal, entre muchos otros.
La tasa de inflación actual ha sobrepasado el 800%, llegando a ser la más alta en el mundo. Ésto ha hecho imposible que muchos venezolanos puedan acceder a productos básicos y otros servicios.
Es casi imposible para los venezolanos proveer los bienes necesarios para sus familias; como consecuencia de ésto, más de la mitad de los niños de Venezuela se encuantran en un estado de desnutrición. Venezuela necesita ayuda de manera URGENTE.
PARA TODOS NUESTROS DONANTES: nuestro equipo está comprometido a ser totalmente transparentes durante este proceso. La entrega de todos los insumos a las familias en Venezuela será documentada y también publicada en nuestras redes sociales.
