Brain Tumor Surgery

Pete was dignosed with a large tumor in the right side of his brain that was discovered after suffering from tingling and numbness on the entire left side of his body.

We went to several different neurosurgeons who all wanted to moniter the tumor instead of operate because of the risky location.

We finally found Dr. Ricardo Komotar at University of Miami. He feels that the tumor will eventually affect Pete's health severly if not removed and  feels confident in operating on Pete while he's awake to lower the risk of damaging functional areas. 

He is scheduled for surgery on Tuesday, and will be unable to work for quite some time. Pete's recovery will take atleast a month as long as everything goes as planned, but could be longer if the surgery is more complicated than anticipated. 

I want to help him raise money for medical expenses that are not covered by insurance (already totalling around 5,000 in bills out of pocket for hospital visits and MRI's.), as well as daily living expenses to him through the next 3 or 4 months if he is not able to return to work.

Pete is my other half and best friend for over 15 years, and I want to make sure that I can take the best care of him possible after surgery. He is the kindest, sweetest man I know, and I love him more than anything. Pete would do just about anything to help a friend in need, so Im hoping our loved ones can help out. Even if its 5 dollars. 

Anyone who knows me knows that I am a giver and do not like asking for help from anyone, but this situation is different, and I'm asking for a donation to help Pete have an easy, stress free recovery.
