My name is Gracie Kittrell and I play Fastpitch softball for the 14 & Under East Cobb Bullets-Millennium. We compete in PGF & ASA Fastpitch tournaments at the “A” level which is the highest level of competition in our sport. I have been playing softball since I was 6 years old and my dream has always been to play softball at the collegiate level.
My dream of playing at the collegiate level is now my personal goal. I have committed myself to a team of girls with same goal. To achieve our goal we have to continuously challenge ourselves by playing at the highest level of our game. With my team I have traveled all over the country and have played softball in 7 states including home of Team USA in Oklahoma City, the home of the ASA Hall-of-Fame and the Women’s College World Series.
Our team goal each year is to win a berth to Nationals, which is similar to playoffs in college, and professional sports. This requires us to play in all of the qualifiers all over our state, and possibly the region until we have earned our berth. I have already played in GA, Alabama (3x) and Tennessee (3X). After 50+ games, we have obtained our goal and have now qualified for PGF Nationals in Huntington Beach California which is the highest acheivement in our sport and age group. We are so extremely excited.
To be part of a team of this caliber requires dedication and expense. I am dedicated no question and my parents have shouldered the expenses throughout our season. This season has been especially costly as we chased our goal and now that we have obtained a berth, getting there will be a whole new challenge and I could use your help in this last push to reach my team goal. I am committed to both my personal and team goals but I need to raise money to help me get to Nationals with my team.
