A hand for Jim.

Donation protected

After having a swollen finger checked, my brother, Jim Pike found out he had Clear Cell Melanoma, an extremely rare form of cancer.  If this cancer were to spread to any other part of his body, Jim would have died.  There is no known treatment for Clear Cell Melanoma at this time.
Jim didn't loose his life, but he did lose his left hand.  Jim has been a professional window washer most of his adult life.  He feels that loosing his hand was far better than loosing his life.
He is healing remarkably well and will begin to be fitted for his prosthesis Monday.  After checking with his insurance company he has learned they will pay nothing for his prosthesis because it was removed because of cancer.  If he had had this hand removed due to diabetis it would have been covered.
For the most part, none of this has brought, my brother down.  He tells us, "I only lost my hand.  I still have my life, and I'm going to live it."
We want to raise this money to help him pay for the hand he needs to continue working and living a life as close to normal as possible.
