Khadijah's trip to Lake Placid NY.

My name is Khadijah Munajj and at only 12 years old I have found my niche in figure skating. I am currently being home schooled here at my home in Queens Village, New York. I aspire to be an Olympic figure skater. I've been figure skating for the past 2 years. Within those years I competed in 3 figure skating competitions with skaters of all levels and received 4 GOLD medals altogether.

All these achievements would not have been possible without dedication, resilience and enthusiasm for figure skating. I train 5 days a week, EVERY WEEK! which is a testament to my love for skating. Currently, I am able to comfortably land my axel and double salchow, and I’m working on my double toe loop, double loop, double flip, and double lutz. My goal is to successfully land these jumps so that I can move on to my double axel!

 I have been offered the incredible opportunity to travel to Lake Placid, New York, July 6-July 13, 2014 and train with world renowned coaches for a week. Every day in Lake Placid, I will be doing on-ice and off-ice group and private lessons. However, this experience comes with a large investment of $3,000; which covers travel, living expenses, coach's fee and ice time. Today I ask you to believe in my dreams just as much as I do and donate as much as you can. Every penny counts !
