Howard Crick Cancer Fund

Since November 11th, Howard not only had to quit his job but he is also being forced to move out of his home and move in with me (Misty)... his ex-wife. :)

While that sounds like the worst possible living arrangement... reality is that it\'s truly a blessing from God. We are now a big happy family of 3 adults and 3 kids and it\'s actually working! How awesome is that!?

Though Howard has insurance from work it\'s going to cost him a lot more due to the coverage converting to COBRA soon which is very expensive and will cost about $350 per month just for the premium.

His medical insurance only covers 80% of his medical bills. Sounds like alot... but it\'s not. His co-pays and prescriptions on top of that will make it impossible for him to survive on disability. We pray his disability application will be processed quickly as most people who are approved don\'t start receiving payments until 6 to 9 months from the time of disability application. 

Howard also has residual utility bills, credit card debt, prior medical bills and his last month of rent that are due as well.

While Jim and I can help Howard with providing him with a home / personal care, getting him to his doctor appointments etc... Financially this has created a hardship to big for us or Howard to take on by ourselves.

We don\'t honestly know how much we really need to raise for Howard. Chemo hasn\'t even started yet and the bills for his radiation haven\'t even arrived in the mail yet. The cost of radiation alone can be over $20,000. We are so early in the ballgame we don\'t even have a clue what we are in for.

But what we DO know is that God will provide for Howard. He has already provided us with the blessing of Howard being able to live with us which means he gets to see Emma every single day... not just on the weekends. Blessings come even in the midst of the storm.

What Howard and Emma need most is time. Please say a prayer for this need above all else! His treatments may not cure him but it will buy him more time to spend with Emma.
