<div>Congregation Agudas Israel is a small synagogue in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada. In the early morning of January 21, 2026, tragedy struck . The building where we store all our equipment and supplies to keep our cemetery beautiful was destroyed by fire.  Nothing was salvageable.

<div>The history and importance of our Jewish Cemetery cannot be overstated. Not only is it one of the most beautiful and well-maintained cemeteries in Saskatchewan, it is one of very few Jewish cemeteries in this province.

<div>No official cause of the fire has yet been determined. We are awaiting word from

<div>the insurance adjustor as to what he has found.
</div>
<div>We need to rebuild. We have no choice. We have already started by borrowing and buying some items as we need to be ready for a funeral at any time. In fact, we had a funeral at the cemetery on January 28 th . With the generous support of neighbors and friends we were able to accommodate the funeral for the family.

<div>We need your help now. Although we have some insurance coverage, the

<div>insurance will not be enough to rebuild as we need to. We are asking for your
</div>
<div>generous support in donating to our Cemetery Rebuild Fund.

<div>Many of you have loved ones interred in our beautiful cemetery.
