We are sharing this page with family and friends in hopes to raise money for Barbara and Jerry McColligan as they continue to face adversity once again. In 2007, Barbara was diagnosed with an advanced form of lung cancer and completed an extensive round of chemo and radiation all the while staying strong for herself and her family. She never gave up hope and continued fighting, despite being told this disease could very well take her life. During this hard time both physically and emotionally, Barbara was unable to work therefore, losing her house and being forced to move.
Today, Barbara and Jerry live in Derry where life for the two of them along with their children and grandchildren continued on. Barbara eventually was able to return to work where she has spent countless hours, days and years at the Manchester/Boston Regional Airport as a TSA employee. Just a few short months ago, Barbara, Jerry and their children were faced with adversity once again. Barbara was once again diagnosed with cancer, this time with inoperable brain tumors, after going threw radiation treatments only to find out 3 months after treatment that more tumors had formed. She decided to go thru 1 more round of radiation of the brain for a 15 day treatment once again gearing up for the fight of her life. Just like during her previous diagnosis, Barbara continues to stay strong for her family as she once again undergoes treatment.
Her family has created this page to help an amazing wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend who has remained positive, strong and a rock who will stop at nothing to be there for anyone. We are also hosting a benefit in honor of Barbara to help with the costs of treatment, other medical bills as well as everyday finances. The benefit will be august 8th at the American legion at 25 Raymond rd Chester nh 03036 from 5-11 tickets will be sold prior to the benefit and at the door for $10.00 a piece . We will have a 50/50 and a bunch of donated items to bid on any questions feel free to call
