Courage does not always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, " I will try again tomorrow." - Mary Anne Radmacher
It is with a heavy heart we share , Greg, Agnes and the Johnson Family once again face off with cancer. Agnes was recently diagnosed with brain cancer. Agnes had surgery on June 24, 2022. The following treatment will be chemo and radiation. With out the surgery, Agnes was given a year at best.
Surgery update: there were a few challenges however Agnes is a fighter and is now stable enough to continue her recovery and future treatments at home with family.
The Johnson family has been such an important and vital part of the SSD family and community for many years. Agnes worked as Call Dispatcher and Sgt. Greg Johnson worked in many different areas within the department. Their daughter Kristine was also a Call Dispatcher. Agnes and Greg were huge supporters of the Toy project and played the role of Mr and Mrs. Santa Claus and were often seen out in celebrations of the Holiday Season. For many October's, (Breast Cancer Awareness Month), they gathered family and friends to walk and raise donation's for Breast Cancer which Agnes had recovered from.
The Johnson family retired from our SSD family and moved to Idaho with their daughters and their families. We know there are many of you who would love to share in supporting them. Please feel free to leave Agnes and Greg a message . All giving on behalf of your family to the Johnson Family will go directly to the family for their needs during this challenging time.
