There is a saying that goes something like “Cherish those you love every day because you never know if “that day” will be your last day.”  I’m so fortunate that I had the privilege of telling my sister how much I loved and admired her. For those of you that had the joy of knowing Tish you know the energy, fun, and sweetness she brought when she entered a room. I’m heartbroken to say that that light that was my sister was killed in a tragic car accident. I, along with my family am struggling with the loss of our beloved sister. As we mourn her, our sorrow is mixed with the most wonderful memories. Tish loved butterflies, painting rocks, and singing.  
                Tish became a mother very young. Like many single mothers her children became her focus. After her children got older Tish went back to school. She got her GED and enrolled in classes at College of the Canyons. From her first semester to her last she was a diligent and hardworking student making the Dean’s list for academics every semester. Tish completed all the classes to earn her Associates degree in Early Childhood Education. She was walking in her graduation in the fall.

                Like so many mothers who go back to school to improve their lives for themselves and their children resources are limited. They make the sacrifice now, to reap the benefits in the future. For my sister however, she did not make it so see those benefits .  Those limited resources have now become a stumbling block to her being laid to rest and her children having some of their immediate needs met. Our family is asking for the help of our friends and family to assist us in looking after my sister’s needs and the needs of her children. The most pressing needs is her burial expenses. As any may know these can be substantial. Tish’s car was totaled in the accident. Her insurance will cover some of the cost but her children are in need of a replacement vehicle. There is much to be done. As a family we will rally and take care of these matters. We are not trying to pass this responsibility on to others; however we could use any help or assistance offered.

We love and will miss our dear sister. We must continue on with our heads up. We will grieve at the loss of her and rejoice in the privilege of know and loving her. Our focus now is making sure her children are ok.  Thank you dear friends for your consideration.
