Help needed with medical bills

In the last three years I have been in the hospital for an upper GI bleed, and also for a heart procedure, Medicare doesn't begin to cover it all. I am trying to get my bills cleaned up but with four different heart conditions there isn't much I can actually do. And at 69, well you know the deal there I am sure. SS just doesn't cover much.
Whatever I raise above what I need for bills I will pay forward. That's just who I am.
I had a upper GI in Jan. 2006 was in the hospital the first time for 5 days then in April. 2006 I had a stroke and was in for another 5 days. I had good insurance then. But since retirement that went away as I can't afford the added insurance to cover the extra. My last upper GI bleed was because of the blood thinner the Dr's had me on, and that's why the heart procedure so no more thinners.
