After-Fire Immediate Fund

Last June 3, our furniture store in Manila was destroyed by fire, the second floor was completely destroyed which is our flat, leaving my mom with nothing. 

We lost all clothings, bags, shoes, our photo albums, documents, but more importantly her medicines and medical supplies (my mom suffered a heart attack same day as the fire in 2011) 

We are currently waiting for the fire department's clearance for our utilities to be reinstalled and start rebuilding, but this all depends on our landlord who is currently MIA, we have been his tenant since 2000.

This fundraiser will be an immediate fund for the following options: 
1. If landlord decides to evict us, we could find immediate housing for our laborers and the business (2 of our laborers have no family so we cannot send them anywhere) 
2. Help with my mom's prescription medications since her insurance won't issue her a new refill since it is not yet due. Also buy her bp monitor, glucose monitor, etc. And help pay for her hotel bill. 
3. If landlord decides to let us stay, secure and renovate the ground floor to continue business operations and get back to our feet as soon as possible. 

I would like to thank the people who immediately helped my mom while the fire was going on especially:

Ninang Lynie Robinson who immediately sent my mom help 
Auntie Fe Valdez who sent brand new clothes and shoes for my mom 
Auntie Sonia Ehrlich who immediately provided my mom help 
Members of our community and church who immediately gathered onsite to help calm my mom and provide support, give rice and foods, clothes, and cash. We are really grateful to be part of the community we call home for 20 years and we hope to be able to rebuild in the same area.
