Help for Danny

I have known Danny for 3 years now. He is 31 and homeless. He panhandles in Newark to survive and is presently living out of his car. He has no other source of income other than what he makes through the generosity and kindness of strangers on the ramp. He has recently applied for assistance but is not eligible until he is able to replace his birth certificate and his social security card, documents that have long vanished with no safe place to keep them.

Danny's girlfriend Lauren passed away on June 10, 2014. He is devastated at the loss, heart-broken, very sad and lonely, and now has no one at all.

Danny is bright and personable. I believe he has the potential to do and be more than his past and circumstances have allowed. At 31, he still has much to discover about his abilities and talents, yet it is very difficult to get the chance without a place to live.

Monies raised will go for rent, utilities, and basic necessities while Danny explores avenues for a new beginning such as vocational training, counseling, etc.
