<div>Since September 2021, <a href="https://www.aicnetwork.org/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Afghan in Crisis Network (AiCN)</a> has been actively involved in supporting at-risk women and human rights defenders and is continuing to support over 120 families to find pathways to safety.

<div>We celebrate that over half of the families we initially supported are in safe or transit countries, and we have secured thirteen scholarships that will allow Afghan women and their families to pursue their studies in a safe country.
</div>

<div>We still have approximately 20 families in Afghanistan and around ten families in Pakistan awaiting an interview with a European embassy. The situation in Pakistan, while safer, is still precarious. We ask for your continued support to prevent these women and the human rights defenders from being deported back to Afghanistan, where they would face severe hardship or their lives would be in grave danger.

<div>We encourage you to keep #afghanlivesmatter alive and spread the word that Afghans in the region continue to suffer and are at the mercy of cold winters, a shift of political will and dialogue from the international community.
