Afghan Evacuee Fundraiser

Donation protected
Our humble hearts want to introduce you to cousins Waris and Yousof who survived the August suicide bombing in Kabul, Afghanistan, and fled Taliban violence. During the explosion, Yousof had extensive injuries, including shrapnel in his brain. His cousin Waris also survived the blast and both were evacuated straight to Walter Reed Medical National Military Medical Center. It took Yousof months to recover, with Waris by his side, and he is still regaining strength and walking again. Yousof was in his 3rd year of IT in college and Waris has earned a degree in International business, so they are both searching for employment as well. They are currently staying in temporary housing with other refugees and will need financial assistance for housing, transportation, and other basic needs. We have secured enough household goods, and more permanent housing in Broomfield, but Yousof and Waris need financial help to get back on their feet again. Please consider donating, sharing, and being a part of their resettlement efforts. We are so thankful they are in our lives.
Sincerely,
Scott & Heidi Henkel- Co-Sponsors
