Affordable Telehealth for Undocumented Immigrants

Immigrants who are in frontline jobs in this COVID-19 pandemic do not have access to healthcare.
At Immi Care we have developed a mobile platform to help undocumented immigrants to reach doctors, with total privacy, while paying affordable rates in cash.
We need your help to take the next steps:
- With 50$, you'll bring an affordable telehealth consultation to 5 immigrants.
- With 100$, you'll onboard 3 additional doctors who want to volunteer with us.
- With 200$, you'll allow for a specialist to work with 10 immigrants when telehealth is not enough.
We are a very lean non-profit organization and NONE of our members is paid for their contribution. With your support, we will bring Immi Care to live!
WHY DO UNDOCUMENTED IMMIGRANTS HAVE A DIFFICULT TIME GETTING HEALTHCARE?
- Without a SSN, they can't be enrolled in any existing healthcare programs or private insurances.
- Doctors are expensive, and more if one can't benefit from private insurance pre-negotiated tariffs.
- With no bank accounts or credit cards, the existing telehealth solutions payable by credit card are out of reach.
- Privacy is a big concern. In the past, ICE has obtained patients' personal information from doctor’s offices.
- They can't afford the half a day off from their precarious jobs that it takes to physically visit a doctor.
- Language can be a huge barrier when dealing with busy receptionists or explaining complicated symptoms to a busy doctor.
HOW WILL THE IMMI CARE PLATFORM WORK?
- Doctors that want to help their community will choose the number of hours per week that they want to dedicate, and will establish an affordable rate.
- The consultations will be payable by pre-paid cards available in stores.
- Our database will be cleaned regularly so personal and sensitive information about the patients won't be stored.
- Immigrants will be able to easily reach and pay available doctors that speak their own language.
- If a teleconsultation is not enough and a physical visit is needed, our specialists will work with the patient to find the available healthcare local services for immigrants.

HOW WILL WE USE YOUR DONATION?
- Spread the word of our cause.
- Find doctors that believe in our mission and want to give back to their communities, and onboard them into the app.
- Fine-tune and maintain the development of the platform.
- Seek legal and administrative advice to navigate through the complex regulations.
- Cover potential operating costs.
