<div>Como miles de personas, hemos perdido mucho en esta tragedia: viviendas, vehículos, trabajos y, lo más importante, el lugar que ha sido el alma de nuestra familia y de nuestra comunidad. El taller de costura, que ha sido el único medio de vida para mi madre y mi tía durante décadas, hoy ya no existe. Este espacio no era solo un lugar de trabajo; era un refugio, un taller de creatividad, un sitio de encuentro y aprendizaje, especialmente para las mujeres de nuestra comunidad.

<div>Mi madre, quien quedó viuda a los 37 años, y mi tía, madre de dos hijos, han dedicado sus vidas a la costura, cosiendo cada prenda con amor y destreza. Desde trajes para la Muixeranga d’Algemesí, vestidos de Fallera, pasando por atuendos de Moros y Cristianos y vestidos de boda y comunión, cada puntada reflejaba la pasión y el compromiso que Conxín y Carmen entregaban a su oficio. El taller se convirtió en un lugar de historia compartida, donde las amigas se reunían, compartían café, risas y trabajaban hombro a hombro.

<div>Hoy, tras perderlo todo, soñamos con reconstruir este taller, para que mi madre, mi tía y las mujeres que han hecho de él su segunda casa puedan reencontrarse y seguir creando juntas. Necesitamos ayuda para comprar lo básico: agujas, telas, máquinas y un espacio donde puedan volver a dar vida a su pasión y, a su vez, a la comunidad que siempre ha rodeado a este lugar.

<div><strong>Help Us Rebuild Our Sewing Workshop: A Place of Life and Community</strong>

<div>Like thousands of people, we have lost so much in this tragedy: homes, vehicles, jobs, and most importantly, the place that has been the heart of our family and community. The sewing workshop, which has been the only means of livelihood for my mother and aunt for decades, no longer exists. This space was more than just a workplace; it was a refuge, a workshop of creativity, a gathering and learning place, especially for the women in our community.

<div>My mother, who was widowed at 37, and my aunt, mother of two, have dedicated their lives to sewing, crafting each garment with love and skill. From costumes for the Muixeranga of Algemesí, Fallera dresses, to outfits for Moors and Christians festivals, wedding and communion dresses, every stitch reflected the passion and commitment that Conxín and Carmen brought to their craft. The workshop became a place of shared stories, where friends gathered, shared coffee, laughter, and worked side by side.

<div>Today, after losing everything, we dream of rebuilding this workshop so that my mother, my aunt, and the women who have made it their second home can reunite and continue creating together. We need help to buy the basics: needles, fabrics, machines, and a space where they can bring their passion back to life, alongside the community that has always surrounded this place.
