AFE Recovery for Lindsay and KeKoa

Donation protected
On Feb 10th, at 41 weeks pregnant, we went to the hospital to be induced for labor. On Feb 11th our son was born but there were complications, not just with him but with me as well. My blood pressure had dropped and I had started to bleed out uncontrollably, my doctor rushed to get KeKoa out of me as fast as she could. He was born not breathing, the nurses and doctors spent 3 minutes 56 seconds reviving him. As they were doing that I lost consciousness and had to be rushed into emergency life saving surgery. I woke up 2 days not knowing what had happen. I found out our son KeKoa had survived but had been transferred to the Medford NICU and was told I couldn’t go see him because I still had surgeries I had to do at the hospital in Grants Pass. I had suffered and Amniotic Fluid Embolism which is extremely rare and has a very low survival rate ( https://www.afesupport.org/what-is-amniotic-fluid-embolism/ ). To save my life and stop the bleeding they performed an emergency hesterectomy, They removed my uterus, I can never have another child... I spent the next 4 days in the ICU in Grants Pass, I don’t remember much about those days because I was going through multiple surgeries and was unconscious for a lot of it. After 6 days they transferred me to the medford hospital due to my kidneys failing because of all the blood transfusions my body experienced. Finally we were able to meet our son after 6 days of being in Grants Pass away from him. Poor KeKoa had to go through so much on his first days of life. It is such a miracle that he is here with us now and that we are finally all home. He spent 11 days in the NICU and I spent those 11 days as a patient in the ICU. So much more happen during those days, surgeries and X-rays and more. Since we have been home and I have been in recovery we have been receiving multiple bills from the hospitals, bills for stuff that our Heath care isn’t going to cover. Moke dropped everything when we had KeKoa so that he could be there for us, he hasn’t been working because of it. He has been doing so much to take care of both me and his son during this time but because of everything our funds have ran out. I don’t like to ask for help, but I’m at a loss of what to do. What was supposed to be one of the best days of our life turned into one of the scariest. We were prepared to have our son but we weren’t prepared for everything that happen. Please keep us in your prayers, we appreciate all of them.  Video of KeKoa journey https://www.facebook.com/mokemartinho/videos/1743822589010113/
