The Miracles of Baby Aaleyah...

Baby Aaleyah Cassandra Evangelista Hernandez was born premature in Alabang, Philippines on April 26, 2014, 27-28 weeks by Maturity Index with a very low birthweight of 616 grams (1 lb 35oz).  She was delivered via emergency caesarian section due to mother's severe pre-eclampsia. She was admitted at the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and was noted to be in respiratory distress and has to be intubated and hooked on ventilator. On her 24th day, x-ray revealed new onset of pneumonia.  She was also screened for retinopathy which showed immature retina on both eyes.

Presently, she was extubated and oxygen was gradually weaned.
She has improved, gradually increased breastfeeding and premature milk formula and started to gain weight. She now weighs 1.2 kilos (2.86 lbs) and might soon be allowed to come home once she reached at least 1.8 kilos (3.97 lbs).

As Baby Aaleyah becomes a living testimony of God's divine compassion, i want to make an appeal for financial support for the family of my brother.  The current running medical bill is almost Php1.5 Million and Phil Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) has pledged Php125,000 donation.
