You’re invited to the inaugural celebration of
“TONY MART CARES”
The most gratifying project in the recent history of Tony Mart Presents will be initiated at the inaugural concert event for Tony Mart Cares on Sunday afternoon, February 23, 2020, 2 to 6pm at Somers Point’s newest hot spot, Josie Kelly’s Public House.
The serious side of this party event is the introduction and announcement of a new Non-Profit, Tax Exempt foundation, Tony Mart Cares, dedicated to honoring the great musicians in the Tony Mart Family from the east to the south and way down yonder in New Orleans. Tony Mart Cares will honor our great community of musical artists with memorials, dedicated events, special free or low cost concerts promoting the musicians and, most importantly, financial aid and health care for musicians in need. Tony Mart Cares will also support the artistic and recording endeavors of our Tony Mart musical family.
The volunteer Board of Directors will include Atlantic County Freeholder Chairman Frank D. Formica, Joseph E. Sayegh, Esq, Jimmy “Old School” Glenn, Music Educator and Performer, Dara Quattrone, Esq., Nancy Marotta, Carmen Marotta and our sister in music, Dawn Collins.
General admission for the event on February 23rd will be free; however the purpose of the event is to generate initial funding for the organization. Reserved seating is available for any donation of $10 or more per person. Tables of 8, including 2 Tony Mart T-Shirts will be available to your family, friends or organization for a donation of at least $100 earning you a position as “Founding Patron” on all letterhead and formal announcements in perpetuity.
Donations of any size will be appreciated as we begin to secure funding for various projects honoring and benefiting the great musicians associated with the Tony Mart Family.
More information will be forthcoming regarding the nature and scope of projects planned and announcements will be made at the event on Sunday, February 23rd. As we like to say at Tony Mart’s, “Rock and Roll for the Right Reasons!” Do the right thing and party with us.
These projects will include support for our many great musicians in the Tony Mart family, assistance in the production of all their recordings and sampler style compilations of recordings by our greatest artists and friends from New Orleans and elsewhere; a memorial to all the great musicians in Somers Point history dedicated to the late great rock icon, Bobby Campanell, but symbolic of all the great musicians who have played in Somers Point. Tony Mart Cares will be our vehicle to create more free and low-cost concert events and enhance existing events including a Tony Mart Café for the service of beverages at the Mardi Gras AC venue on the Boardwalk in Atlantic City.
With your support we can produce even greater experiences for our Tony Mart Family and pay homage to our fabulous performers and musicians.
