Saving Sammy

On November 16, 2017 my best friend, Samantha Murray was diagnosed with stage 3 invasive double breast cancer. This has come as a total shock to her, her family and friends. As she is trying to come to terms with her diagnosis, her outlook and prognosis is positive. I have no doubts that Sammy will come through this and fight, stronger than ever.

Sammy will undergo treatment almost immediately, including chemotherapy, radiation and a double mastectomy. The treatment plan will be determined based on findings during tests on Tuesday November 28th.

The emotional and financial burden of having breast cancer is challenging. Sammy is 26 years of age and is one of the most caring, fun-loving and bravest women I know. I am sure that everyone who knows Sammy will agree she needs and deserves our love and support now more than ever. The medical bills are already coming in, and will continue to add up; therefore we are reaching out to our amazing and supportive network of family and friends to help in anyway. Every donation is greatly appreciated and will be a huge help to Sammy over the next few months.

The money raised will go towards:
Surgery and medical treatment costs.
Procedures to help Sammy’s fertility from the harms and toxicity of chemotherapy.
Bills and expenses that will add up whilst Sammy cannot work.
Unanticipated costs that will inevitably happen during this battle.
