Help Gia volunteer in Costa Rica!

 

For as long as I can remember I have wanted to volunteer in another country and make a difference for children who are truly struggling. I have applied to the two week International Volunteer HQ program in Costa Rica for January 2015. While there I will be living with a Costa Rican host family and volunteering in orphanages, community centers, day care centers, and/or schools. Many of the children in Costa Rica come from difficult backgrounds and do not receive the education and support that every child deserves. Unfortunately despite the fact that this is a volunteer trip, there are many expenses. I will need to pay for airfare, vaccinations, travel insurances, and several other program fees. I am extremely excited for this opportunity to not only help the children of Costa Rica but to also immerse myself in a totally different culture. I have recently graduated SUNY Oneonta with big dreams and a strong desire to make an impact. Words cannot describe how appreciative I am of any donations. Anything at all would be a huge help, every cent counts!
