Isla Harper's Heart Helpers

At 23 weeks pregnant, I found out about Isla's condition. Her condition is called Tetralogy of Fallot with Absent Pulmonary Valve. Basically, with her condition, she is going into congestive heart failure while home. Her pulmonary arteries are so enlarged she is unable to breathe properly and is on 3 medicines to keep the fluid off of her lungs. Her wind pipes and trachea weren't properly formed because her heart is so enlarged. She has had a few episodes where she isn't getting oxygen and turns blue and has been hospitalized 3 times in the last month.This will require open heart surgery within the next week or two. They will repair it and it will likely need at least two more repairs prior to her being an adult.Isla has a twin sister, Ava that is healthy. Because of Isla's condition, I am not able to work as she cannot go to daycare as her risk of getting sick is higher and her recovery is much worse than a baby without a heart condition. As of yesterday, I lost my job after 8 years due to my inability to come back to work after 12 weeks of leave. This includes our insurance benefits for our family.
