Help Jodi

Jodi was diagnosed with MALS syndrome after suffering with it undiagnosed over 10 yrs. MALS affects the celiac artery, the ganglion nerves and other nerves located behind the stomach and pancreas. A ligament constricts the artery and inflames the nerves. This past year it got a lot worse she has been hospitalized over 10 times. She had her first surgery last April to cut the ligament that was restricting 90% of her blood flow thru her celiac artery. The surgery was successful in restoring the blood flow but the nerves surrounding the artery have been damaged and is what has been causing the pain, nausea and vomiting. She had it "under control" until this October and lost over 10lbs in 3 weeks time. She was scheduled to have surgery in Denton last week but after her surgeon reached out to one of the only physicians in the United Stated who specializes in MALS for advice on removing the nerves, he determined right before she went into surgery that he wasnt capable of doing t!
he procedure because the risks were to high and could cause more damage. The specialist in MALS works in Connecticut and has agreed to take her and do the operation as soon as we can get her there. We need to get her there ASAP. Please help.
